Remove a 6&#8243; length of the split loom covering. Strip back about 1\/2&#8243; of insulation from the BLACK wire.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-MJ.jpg?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-250\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-MJ.jpg?resize=300%2C169&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"1-fuel pump ground MJ\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-MJ.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-MJ.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-MJ.jpg?w=948&amp;ssl=1 948w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Take your new ground wire, preferably at least 14 gauge and 12 to 18 inches long as needed, strip it about 3\/4&#8243;, and wrap it around the exposed part of the harness plug wire.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-mj-002.jpg?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-251\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-mj-002.jpg?resize=300%2C145&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"1-fuel pump ground mj-002\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-mj-002.jpg?resize=300%2C145&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-mj-002.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cruiser54.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/1-fuel-pump-ground-mj-002.jpg?w=948&amp;ssl=1 948w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>Solder the connection. Attach the eyelet under a bolt that goes directly into the chassis.
